TODAY’S WORD, THOUGHT AND PRAYER FOR VICTORY From Joel Osteen “Favor Awareness”

…his favor lasts a lifetime.

-Psalm 30:5

People promote awareness of all kinds of things in this world, but one of the most important things you should be aware of is the favor of God! Every day before you leave the house, you should say, “Father, thank You that I have Your favor.” As you drive to work or go about your day, meditate on His favor. Be aware of His goodness. Expect doors to open for you that may not open for somebody else.

Remember, favor means you have an advantage. There is something special about you because Almighty God has His hand on you. And I’m not talking about being arrogant and thinking that you’re better than somebody else. I’m talking about living with boldness — not because of who you are, but because of Whose you are! You are a child of the Most High God. Your Father created the whole universe. You can expect preferential treatment from Him!

Father, thank You for Your favor, grace and mercy. I choose to be aware of Your goodness and many blessings. I choose to meditate on Your love and look for Your hand at work in every area of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.

TODAY’S WORD, THOUGHT AND PRAYER FOR VICTORY From Joel Osteen “What is God Telling You to Do?”

…As they went, they were cured and made clean.

-Luke 17:14

One time in the Scripture, there were ten lepers who saw Jesus. They hollered out, “Jesus! Have mercy on us and make us whole!” Jesus could have healed them right then, but instead, He asked them to do something to express their faith. He said, “Go show yourself to the Priest, and you will be made whole.”

It’s interesting that those lepers were not supposed to be around other people. They had to live in colonies because they were contagious and considered unclean. I’m sure they debated among themselves, “Do you really think we should go? I don’t look any better. It’s just going to be a waste of our time.” But they dared to put action behind their faith. They decided, “Jesus said if we go, we will be well. Let’s go. Let’s take a step of faith.” The Scripture says, “As they went, they were made whole.”

Friend, what is God telling you to do in your heart today? Take a step of faith. Put action behind faith. As you step out and show that your faith is in Him, you will see His miracle-working power flow in every area of your life!

Father, I choose to trust in You. I choose to be obedient to You. Even when it doesn’t make sense to my natural mind, I will obey You and walk by faith. Thank You for revealing Yourself to me and healing every part of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.

TODAY’S WORD, THOUGHT AND PRAYER FOR VICTORY From Joel Osteen “You are Closer than You Think”

…He said to the paralytic, ‘I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.’ Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”

-Mark 2:10–12

In Mark chapter two, the Bible talks about a man who was paralyzed. He heard that Jesus was in town teaching at another house, and the man knew that Jesus could heal him. The paralyzed man convinced four of his friends to carry him on his bed to where Jesus was. When they arrived, the house was so packed that they couldn’t get in. Instead of just giving up and going home, the man was so determined that he convinced his friends to climb up on the roof, cut a hole in it, and lower him down right in front of Jesus!

Now this man understood that you are closest to your victory when you face the greatest opposition. A lot of people would have seen the crowd and gone home — even though they were just a few feet away from their miracle. Don’t let that be you! What are you believing for? Don’t give up just because there is opposition. Don’t let others discourage you from seeing your miracle. Keep pressing through because today you are closer than you think to the victory God has in store for you!

Father, I release all of my cares and anxieties on You. I trust that my breakthrough is coming. I choose to press in and not give up until I see my miracle in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Wishing On A Cure For Cystic Fibrosis:

On April 18th, 2014, The Crowne Plaza Hotel Pittsburgh South Hotel in Bethel Park, PA hosted an annual fundraiser, “Wishing On A Cure” This annual event benefited the Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and Kaelyn’s Kure. Kaelyn’s Cure is named after Kaelyn Leigh Weber, a 6 year-old girl who was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis 13 days after being born. Her parents are Chad and Julie Weber, Julie is not only a “CF Mom”, but she is also an alum of the Pittsburgh 50 Finest class.

This year’s Wishing On A Cure was filled with dining, dancing and cocktails for a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. Also at this year’s Wishing On A Cure, there was two different raffles. A Chinese Auction, a 50/50 raffle, both of those raffles raised money for the CF Foundation.

All funds that were collected at the end of the evening were donated to the CF Foundation through their Great Strides walk team Kaelyn’s Kure.
